CBP Seizes Nearly $200k in Currency at Nogales Port

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported on September 22 that a 48-year-old Mexican national was apprehended on September 16 when CPB agents found a large sum of undeclared U.S. currency in his vehicle as it attempted to cross through a Nogales port of entry on its way to Mexico.

More than $189,000 USD, distributed in nine packages, was hidden in the roof of the Cadillac Escalade the man was driving. The cash was seized and the man was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
